HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY CALEB!!

Caleb Michael just celebrated his fourth birthday on July 1st! He had such a great day (or should I say week). Lots of family and friends came to his birthday party at the Keller Pointe for swimming and fun. He got all the presents a boy could want and more. Thank you to everyone for coming out and for making Caleb's day so special. The birthday boy arriving to his party. He loves the water and he couldn't wait to get in. We were all ready to swim outside, then the lightning struck across the sky so we had to go inside for the first few hours of Caleb's party.

Abby was one of Caleb's first friends to arrive. Can you tell he likes her (A LOT)?
Miss Debby came in and immediately started helping with Trevor. She is such a natural with the kids.
Kennedy and Kristen were having a blast in the water. Trevor was holding on for dear life. He's just not so sure about all the splashing.Grandma holding Trevor as he chills out in his shades. The birthday boy! He didn't want to waste any time taking pictures, but he made one acception for Mommy.
We finally got to go outside and the boys really LOVED it out there. Here's Trevor making his way through a tiny fountain. Look at him go. (love that belly)Caleb loves swimming with his daddy.
Cousin Ava and Caleb. They had a great time in the water. We are so glad Ava got to come even though her mommy is 9 months pregnant.
This picture shows just how much Caleb loves the water.
Caleb getting ready for cake and presents. Yay! "Look Abby, I got a new book!"
Everytime Caleb would open a present he would say, "Thank you so much, you are sooooo nice." He was talking in the sweetest voice I've ever heard. He was very grateful for everything.Looking cool in his new shades.

Daddy reading the b-day card.

"I wish for Mommy and Daddy and Trevor." That's really what he said! My sweetheart.

Mmmmm, I like cake.
Trevor loves his Uncle Dustin. Why wouldn't he? He looks so much like him!

This was the end to the birthday party. Caleb decided to watch one of his new movies before he drifted off to sleep.

Here's the morning of his actual birthday. He woke to a birthday song and his new kitchen from mommy and daddy (yes, boys like to cook too and it is blue and green).
Daddy and Caleb are putting together the kitchen. Caleb is a true Daddy's helper. Chef Caleb at your service. After playing with some of his new toys, we went to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. Our family
Grandma and Grandpa came to lunch too (along with Mason, Amy, and Sarah). Right after lunch we went to Bailey's party (Caleb's friend from Ms. Debby's) and continued to celebrate.

Finally, home in his new Spiderman chair and Larryboy pj's. Caleb is deleriously happy. Happy fourth birthday Caleb. We can't beleive how much you've grown and how fast the years have flown. It's so fun to watch you grow. It is sometimes challenging, but the most rewarding thing in the world to be your parent. You have taught us so much about love, patience, kindness, being silly, having fun, making the most of a moment, and so much more. Your brother and you are the sweetest part of our lives. We love you mister man. You are a big boy now!

Fun days of June

We have had a very busy June so far! Caleb started his first preschool program. Trevor is now walking full-time with a lot of stumbles and falls (he is SO cautious). We've been spending time with family and having lots of fun! Here is Caleb starting his first day at "Young Children's World" at our church. He didn't even tell me goodbye when I dropped him off at his class. He was so excited to learn and to meet new friends. I was the one left standing by the door feeling sad because my little boy is growing up so fast! We also enjoyed VBS at our church recently. Our babysitter's daughters (Sarah and Kendra) were both in the musical that Caleb absolutely loved. Below are Caleb, Sarah, Baylie, Kendra, and Abby. Abby has been Caleb's best friend at Ms. Debby's for two years and Baylie is also one of his friends there.
Recently we went to see our adorable niece Ava in her very first dance recital. She was so cute. Immediately afterwards Caleb and Ava just hugged and couldn't stop talking to each other.

Ava started teaching Caleb some of her new dance moves. On the car ride home he said he would like to grow his hair long like Ava's and learn to dance. I don't see that happening anytime soon!

It was finally time for my ten year reunion this June. My brother Dustin and sis-in-law Misty graciously wached the boys while Michael and I caught up on old times with my classmates. Below Caleb is watering Dustin's flowers.

Here are Michael and I at the reunion. We had a great time.

This June we have also done a lot of swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Trevor isn't very sure of the water yet, but Caleb can't get enough. Grandma is walking Trevor around the pool below.

Mommy and the boys playing in the pool.

Aunt Amy splashing with Trevor.

This past weekend we went to Adam and Brandy's lake/golf house. Caleb and Ava love each other so much, but they are still learning the concept of sharing. This is a huge battle every time they are together, but they still can't wait to see each other whenever they are apart. We had a really good time, even though the guys left me with all three kids to go play golf! Thank God for cell phones and fast golf carts. Ava and Caleb took some time to smile for the camera before fighting over who gets to drive. Aren't they cute?

Caleb and Mommy on the hunt for ducks. Caleb sweetly said, "Mommy, let's take a picture together." That's my buddy!
Uncle Adam with the two rugrats. None of the ducks wanted our bread, but we had a good time looking for them!

Trevor at the pool. What a cutie-pie!
All the kiddos eating their snacks and sharing! What a fabulous day.

Trevor's first birthday cake

Happy 1st Birthday Trevor!!!

We can't believe our baby just turned one. It seems like yesterday we were just finding out that he was going to be a boy. Now, he is such big boy. He took his first few steps on his actual birthday (May 16th), but he still mainly just stands, claps, then falls back down on his bottom. His first word was mama (not dada!!) . He is so sweet and cuddly, he just makes my heart melt. I remember being scared to break up the threesome of mommy, daddy and Caleb, but Trevor is the best addition to our family! We love him so much!! Trevor's cake had a recent picture of him taken by Ms. Sarah (our babysitter's oldest daughter). She always takes the cutest pictures of him while at Ms. Debby's so we don't miss a thing! He had such a great birthday with all of his friends and family. On his actual birthday we had a little party at Ms. Debby's with all the kids. We took balloons, cupcakes and pizza to celebrate. Then, on Sunday we had his birthday party with everyone. Trevor sat in the bounce house for just a minute before he started crying. He likes it when you jump with him, but he's not so sure about it if he is by himself.
Caleb accidentally burned his finger that day on the pressure washer's motor. He was in pain all day! Grandma is using her powers to console him.Grandpa took some time to feed Trevor his bottle before the cake fest! Aren't they sweet!Trevor gets a chance to play with some of his new toys. Everyone spoiled him so much! He sure is lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!

Happy birthday Trevor. He is waiting in anticipation for the cake to get close enough to eat!

He just dove right in. He had a mini cupcake on his birthday, so he knew what was coming. It was so fun to watch him as he ate his cake. Our boy was in heaven.

Mmmmm... cake!

So cute... and happy.

Priceless. He hated this hat, but I had to get at least one picture with it.
Trevor was so tired. He would just nuzzle into Michael's side, and then raise back up as fast as he could to smile and try not to fall asleep.
Our birthday boy, big brother Caleb, mommy, and daddy.

It was such a great day. We feel so blessed to have each moment with Caleb and Trevor. We can't imagine life without them.

Our family vacation

The first weekend in May we packed up the family and drove to Galveston. Our friends Brad and Kristen invited us to go along with them to their rented beach house. It was Brad's last get away before going on his second tour to Iraq. It was Trevor's very first family vacation! We had an amazing time. Caleb has been asking to go to the beach every day since we came home. We took a lot of amazing pictures.....
This is our little family
Brad, Kristen, and Kennedy. We had such a fabulous time with their family!
My boys! Right after this Caleb and Daddy tried digging up crabs on the beach. We ended up just having to buy some instead.

Little Trevor and Kennedy playing ball on the deck of the beach house. They just love playing with each other.
Trevor and Mommy
Trevor was trying out his new tooth by chewing on my chin! He stopped for just a second to smile for the camera.

Caleb would run out to the water and as the waves came crashing in he would run as fast as he could so they wouldn't get him. He had such a blast. We can't wait to take him again.

We had just had a refreshing swim in the ocean.

Trevor would just stare at the water. He was mesmerized.
Trevor loved getting to splash in the water. He would still cling to Daddy just to make sure he was still safe.
Mommy and Caleb were riding the waves. So much fun!
Running on the beach

Trevor and Caleb were just sitting on the beach staring at the water. Trevor didn't know what to think about the sand. Caleb just loved everything about it! We are already planning our next vacation to the beach!

Loving the outdoors

Caleb and Trevor are true boys in that they love everything that relates to the outdoors! They are both adventurous and love to have fun. Caleb is playing on his slide in our back yard. "Look Mommy and Daddy, I found a bug!" He loves rolie polies because they are nice, but not ants "because they bite us."
Caleb is so sweet. He loves to pick flowers off of our rose bush and give them to mommy and daddy.

Trevor loves to go to the playground and play on the slides already. He is playing peak-a-boo in the tunnel below.

What a big boy! I still can't believe he is turning one this week. It make me sad and happy all at the same time. Caleb will be 4 just in just six more weeks. Where did the time go?

Trevor loves his little swing at the playground. He could sit in it for hours. Michael and I love both of our boys more than we could have ever imagined.
