Brotherly Love

Caleb and Trevor love each other so much! They play together already. Caleb will get on the floor and let Trevor chase him around the house. Trevor just giggles and laughs. Anytime Trevor isn't around, Caleb wants to know, "Where is my baby brother?" He tells Trevor he loves him all the time. I am so amazed by the bond they already seem to be forming. The other day Caleb told me Trevor was his best friend. I know they will probably get in many fights along the way, but I hope they can always be best friends! Below, Trevor is standing along with the help of his music table and Caleb puts his arm around him. This next picture Caleb is singing "Twinkle, twinkle little star" to Trevor. I actually got a video of it but not sure how to upload it yet.
Here, my boys are watching Little Einsteins. It's one of Caleb's favorite shows and Trevor just loves all the music.

Disgusting!

Funny story---a few weeks ago we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Caleb was eating his lunch while Daddy and Uncle Mason were talking about plans for something they were building. Caleb felt that were being too loud, so he says, "Guys, quit being so loud!" They keep talking and Caleb is getting more and morefrustrated with them (pretty sure he needed a nap by this time). Caleb asks them again to quiet down, when Grandma says, "Caleb, it's okay, they are just discussing." Caleb turns to Daddy and Mason and says, "That's right guys, you are disgusting!!!" Gotta love that three year old. Just thought I'd share this silly little picture to go with the story!

Dedication

On March 7th Caleb and Trevor took part in a baby dedication to dedicate their lives to God. The dedication was to celebrate all of God's tiny blessings that were born into our church in 2006. We recently joined Richland Hills Church of Christ so Caleb got to be a part of the event as well. Uncle Adam, Aunt Brandy, Ava, Rebecca, and Fielder all came to share in this special time for us. We feel so blessed to have two wonderful healthy boys, and we are fully dedicated to raising them to be strong Christian men. We got a few photos of the night. Caleb holding cousin Ava's hand. They sure do love each other!!

Aunt Brandy holds on to our little wiggle worm. (Rebecca in the background watching Fielder, Caleb, and Ava play)
This is our amazing babysitter/caregiver Mrs. Debby. She has attended RHCC for many years. We feel it's a bonus to have her also watch Trevor in the nursery. It was a memorable occasion!

Silly boy

Recently Aunt Sarah took Caleb on a little shopping trip to Target. Of course, he couldn't come back empty handed, so Sarah bought him a great pair of rain boots. They turned out to be a little girly with ladybugs on them, but Caleb still loves them. Caleb was running around like crazy with his new boots on.
At first, he did not want to take pictures but he couldn't resist making funny faces for the camera.

What a silly boy!

Getting soooo big!

Trevor is getting so big! It's hard to believe he is almost 9 months already. He is crawling and pulling up. He is getting fast enough to chase his big brother around. Grandma is hanging onto Trevor--he is still a little unstable, but VERY curious and daring.

Just look at those legs!

Our little friend

Charlie is his name, and he was ALMOST ours! The boys absolutely loved him as you can see, but Michael says, "no inside pets allowed!" After two days of dogsitting we gave him up to someone Michael works with who has three kiddos to keep Charlie busy! I miss him already. Caleb called Charlie his "snuggle bug," but couldn't resist from holding him upside down and squeezing him until he cried. Charlie was just too cute for his own good!
Charlie looks very inquisitively at Trevor as he crawls across the floor. Very cute.
Trevor just laughed at Charlie when he got near. We have to get these boys a dog. Don't you agree?

Look who's crawling!

As of January 9th Trevor William has been crawling like crazy! For about 5 weeks he had been going backwards, but he decided to go forward and has been loving it ever since. Below, Trevor is thinking about coming after Mommy......
Watch out world, here I come!
I'm gonna get you!
Got ya!

Holiday in the park

Michael and I took Caleb to holiday in the park (Six Flags) with our good friend Alaina at the very end of 2006. We all had a great time, especially Caleb. He was in heaven! Below, we all took time to take a quick picture before heading home. Caleb get to meet Yosemite Sam while breaking Daddy's back!
Caleb got to drive his own truck. Very exciting!
This is a ride for Mommy! I actually think I enjoy the "kiddy" rides more! Caleb had a blast on this one. It just went up and down like a jerky elevator, but he would giggle so hard everytime. Lots of fun.
The carousel was our first stop. Caleb got to ride with Daddy by his side.
One last character picture. What a great day!

Merry Christmas everyone!

We hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. We had a blast with the boys this year. Caleb finally understands the concept of Christmas as it relates to Santa Claus and lights, music, ect. He asked almost everyday for the month of December, "Is it Christmas yet?" He would get a present and before he even opened it he would exclaim, "I love this present!" What a guy! Since this was Trevor's first Christmas it was very special. Of course he loved the wrapping paper and the bows the most, but what 7 month old doesn't? He is so precious!
Below, Daddy and Caleb are working hard on the very special plate we made for Grandma and Grandpa with both the boys' handprints on it. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Meierhofer's for our annual Chrismas Eve get together. All the kid got totally spoiled, of course! Here, Trevor is working hard on the Christmas cookies for Santa.
Ava and Caleb took their job of making cookies for Santa very seriously. After all, you need to make Santa very happy so he brings you lots of presents. They even put extra sprinkles on each cookie!
We opened presents at our house on Christmas day and played with every single toy, game, or crayon that Caleb received. It was lots of fun. The day after, Mommy took the boys to see their great grandma and Uncle Dustin and Aunt Misty in East Texas. Trevor is tearing into his gift from Uncle Dustin and Aunt Misty. Can you tell he loves the tissue paper the best?
Caleb with his infamous "candy cane" pajamas got an awesome Leap Frog writer from his aunt and uncle.
Aunt Misty takes time to take a picture with little Trevor.
Uncle Dustin helps Caleb with his new toy.
My grandma would kill me if she knew anyone else could see this picture, but it is very special to me because she is such a wonderful woman. My two boys with their great grandma! It was such a wonderful Christmas.

Snow Day

We had such a great time with the boys last week when it snowed! Mommy got to spend all day with her favorite boys. Michael and I got to build the world's smallest snowman with Caleb complete with a bottle cap hat and raisin eyes and nose. Daddy stepped in to help Caleb finish the snowman after I had tried to gather snow without gloves. Ouch! Caleb was a great supervisor!
Daddy and Caleb having such fun in the snow.
Mommy and Caleb freezing their cheeks off!
Caleb was all smiles. He's been asking for snow ever since; praying for it as a matter of fact!
Trevor stayed inside where it was warm. We had such a great day!

Go Vikings!

Can you believe this was Caleb 2 short years ago? He looks like a little football player in this jersey. They grow way too fast. It sure is fun to watch, but sad that it is over so quickly.

A visit from Miss Ava Grace

A couple of weeks ago Ava came to Caleb's soccer game with Grandma and Grandpa. After the game we got to take her to our house for a little playtime with Caleb. They always have a blast with each other, even through the tears and screaming if the other has something that they MUST have! Below Ava is loving on little Trevor before the soccer game. She loves babies! Ava and Grandpa are trying to cheer Caleb on, but he doesn't want to leave Ava's side!
Spaghetti picnic outside--a lot easier to clean up.
Caleb and Ava playing in our ball pit. They had so much fun!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was alot of fun this year. Caleb actually got to enjoy dressing up and deciding what he wanted to be. Trevor was pretty sick with a fever of 103 just a few days before, but he still managed to smile and be cute. We went to Richland Hills Church of Christ's fall festival and got lots of candy, played games and bounced in some really neat bounce houses.
Here Caleb is getting his face painted by a VERY patient Daddy. You all know how 3 year old LOVE to hold still! Caleb was playing a game of toss to win some yummy chocolates.
Caleb the Clown and little froggy Trevor took time to pose for the camera with Daddy. My little cutie-pies!
What a smile! I love that little frog.
Caleb doesn't even look like himself. Everyday after Halloween he would ask to get his face painted. He absolutely loved it.
